Each class features a presenter and the course facilitator. Short reading, experiential, and writing assignments are given for you to complete between the sessions. On average, participants find that each writing assignment takes about an hour to prepare.
For each topic you’ll also have a “buddy,” another participant in the class. You and your buddy will check in with each other via phone to discuss the assignment, how it’s going for each of you, and anything else about the class. In this way, you’ll have the opportunity to both get to know your classmates a little bit more, and also explore the assignment more deeply together.
People have experienced this course as profoundly transformational, and it does involve your engaged presence during class and as an investment of time leading up to each session. Your assignments are due to the facilitator four days before each class. Highlights from each person’s reflections are shared during the class for learning and feedback. Also, you will choose one or two seva projects to do during the course in order to integrate the learning with the living experience.
